Black HER-Story ‘She Fact’: Lori McNeil

21 JUN 1994: LORI MCNEIL OF THE UNITED STATES PLAYS A FOREHAND SHOT DURING HER FIRST ROUND MATCH AGAINST STEFFI GRAF OF GERMANY AT THE 1994 WIMBLEDON TENNIS CHAMPIONSHIPS. MCNEIL DEFEATED THE NUMBER 1 SEED GRAF.

In February during Karen in the Afternoon its Black HER-Story Month where we are celebrating Black History month everyday with a “She Fact.”

Before Venus and Serena tennis champ Lori McNeil was running the courts. Lori defeated Chris Evert during the Pan Pacific Open in Tokyo, Japan in 1989 during the quarterfinals. She won a total of 10 singles and 33 doubles titles during her career. Lori is currently the Director of Tennis a the Zina Garrison Academy in Houston Texas.
